Commonly used in building materials as porch and deck flooring, poly resin (CPVC) is a mixture of recycled wood pulp and resin. This material is environmentally friendly and basically indestructible. The material is designed to be out in virtually all weather and largely can handle snow without difficulty (we still recommend covering poly resin chairs in winter, though).

But I eventually gave up on that and sanded each piece one at a time, stopping periodically to compare them to one another. This is the oscillating spindle sander that I have HERE.
