Simple repair: Drill a 3/8 inch hole at about the same distance to either side of the split and use a nylon wire tie (zip tie) to hold the split together. If the split is long, you might want to use a few parallel wire ties. The wire ties will last a season or two before they break, and will need replacement.
And also here is my fancy little tip for ya- this resin stuff can get spray painted year after year to look fresh and lovely. I just spray painted all our old pots from last year and they really do look like new. .
All screw holes should be pre-drilled for a couple reasons; to prevent splitting by drilling a pilot hole and to countersink sufficiently to accept a wood plug later. The plug not only helps the appearance of the chair, but will also add to the chair’s durability. We used a bit that drilled the hole and counterbored for the plug in the same operation.
Made of eco-friendly recycled wood pulp and a poly resin material, these chairs are maintenance free, sturdy, and well designed.

I went Lowes store in Central Ave., Albany, New York location yesterday, June 26, 2017. I bought some Lumber and picked 2 Adirondak chars as mentioned above. Total cost with regular price came out to $59. They did not honor your code. Manager at Lowes said they never accept any out side coupons or code. Since I did not get the $10 off I did not buy the 2 chairs. Cashier at Lowes felt your site was likely a “Hoax”.
The original Adirondack chairs were made of hardwood, but the ones in our reviews are all constructed using some type of all-weather plastic. There are a few reasons for this, the first of which is that these materials are a bit cheaper than wood. They are also more durable since they won’t rot, split, or crack the way wood will if left unprotected from the elements. This means there is little maintenance needed to keep them looking great. Another positive feature of these chairs is that they are made of recycled plastics, so they are more eco-friendly for the environmentally-conscious members of society.
These units are covered under a 12-year warranty, which is nice, but not as good as Polywood’s 20-year warranty. It was easy to put together. This child’s Adirondack chair was perfect for what I wanted. Very nicely made, the wood is heavy enough for a child and you can paint or stain it without sanding. Yes, I love it.
There is so much for which to be grateful and I’m happy you and your bubble could celebrate with your mother together in a beautiful, location and one I know is close to your home.
Another great feature of this classic chair is that it is stain-resistant, so even if you leave it out on a dusty day or happen to spill on it you won’t have to worry about any discolorations ruining your beautiful chair. If it does get dirty, you can clean it easily with simple soap and water, so it will look as good as new in no time.

Adirondack chairs get their name from the beautiful Adirondack Mountain range in upstate New York.
The bathroom was wrapped in 12″ x 24″ grey tile. The reason most bathrooms have larger format tile is that it costs less to install them. It’s more expensive to install smaller scale tile, which is what belongs in a timeless bathroom.
Given the abundance of options available to us, choosing the right Adirondack chair can be a daunting task. First, you must decide on how much you’re willing to maintain the chair. There is wood, plastic, and recycled plastic. Wood can have a beautiful traditional finish, but takes seasonal oiling to maintain it and can splinter.
There simply was no place to plug in the lamp with the end table sitting in the middle of the room (no area rug to run it underneath) AND turning it beside the fireplace meant that it faced the view of the mountains (see the photo below).
